FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- Where are you based at?
-
I live and operate my photography business in Calgary AB, but I often travel nationally and overseas, for creative and commissioned projects. I've been in US, Europe, Middle East and the Caribbeans. For specific inquires that involve international travels, please Contact Me and I will get back to you within 24 hours.
- Do you have a studio?
-
My photography services are 100% mobile at the moment, therefor I offer the
Boudoir & Intimate Portraits Experience sessions at the comfort of your own home/place. There is nothing more relaxing and comforting, than doing a photo session of this type while not having to leave your home. In case that is not an option, I also offer other (rented) venues for my clients, such as beautiful Airbnb's or luxury hotel suites. - Oh, I see you are a male photographer...
-
Yes - and from professional perspective there should be no difference. While some women are unsure about working with a male boudoir photographer, some prefer them. There are actually quite a few benefits in working with an experienced male boudoir photographer, for example:
- Men and women typically see women differently. Also - what men find sexy and what women find sexy are typically different things. A woman might say something like, "That ripped and old looking hoodie? That isn't sexy". While a man might say something like, "I love that hoodie on you, first thing in the morning when you are walking around with your coffee... it looks so sexy..."
- Most of my clients are getting albums and collections as a gift for their husband, therefore they want a man's opinion and perspective...
When I begin designing the album and ask what images to use, the answer is usually - “I'd prefer you to pick the best you think he will like, since you are a guy".
- Playboy, FHM, Maxim, and Sports Illustrated Swim Suit are mostly shot by male photographers. Boudoir as an industry is dominated by women photographers because of the perception that the client and her spouse will feel more comfortable if they are shot by a woman. The fact is - if you're hiring an experienced and reputable boudoir photographer, male or female, they will be focusing on posing, lighting, emotion and experience. We are not really looking at "you", but at the composition that will create the best image of you. Look for and hire the photographer (male or female) who makes you feel accepted, sexy, and with a style you love. They will always show and remind you that you are beautiful, powerful, sexy and special. Above all - they will make you feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera, whether you've done it before or not.
I guarantee a completely comfortable, professional, and FUN atmosphere. One thing is certain, I will capture images that both you and your partner will enjoy! - Do you offer hair and makeup?
-
As an established and experienced photographer, I have a wide network of local professionals, including HMUAs. As my client, you will have your hair and makeup done by some of the best in our industry. Your Boudoir & Intimate Portraits Experience includes the HMUA services prior to the photo session.
- Can you Photoshop my "problematic" areas...?
-
Although Photoshop is way cheaper than plastic surgery (yes, I've heard a photographer saying that...), I actually do way less of the editing process than many other boudoir photographers...
I simply believe in capturing and portraying the REAL YOU.
I am personally not a fan of images where people look like porcelain dolls with
glass-looking eyes. I want you to be able to look at your images and RECOGNIZE that fun, sexy, confident and romantic woman in the photo you're looking at.
No Photoshop can do that effect.
After hundreds of photo sessions with many different women, I know just the right lighting and posing that will flatter your specific body type, no matter of your curves or age. - Do you offer mini sessions?
-
My photo sessions are 1.5-2 hours long. There is a good reason for that as it actually benefits the client. You see, an experienced model needs about 20 minutes in front of the camera, to "warm up", before she's in her A-Game and can start creating "usable" images. For someone with less experience in front of the camera, especially when posing intimate concepts, you will have to trust me with a photo session longer than "30 minutes mini session". Not only will you enjoy the experience, you will LOVE the final images and products.
- What is the cost of something like that?
-
The photo session fee - includes your preplanning meeting, a professional hair&makeup, your photo session, complimentary headshots, professional editing of the final images and Image Reveal & Ordering session - is $500.
Prints, albums and wall arts are purchased individually or as an art collection - at your Reveal. Digital high resolution copies (Prime USB Case) are available with the product/collection you order and will include the images you have selected for the product/collection.
In some occasions there is an option to purchase only the high resolution digital collection. Please mention this option if interested.
Average investment of our clients in their collections is $1800-$2500
With your agreement signing, I will send you the detailed price list with products and collections options, so you can build the package/collection you love the most. - Where might my images be shared?
-
ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE, unless you will say otherwise. As a boudoir photographer I'm bound to the trust of my clients' confidentiality. The samples and images that are featured on my website are from clients that gave me their consent to use their images for that purpose. My clients' trust is the key element of my reputation as a business and a person.
- Who is doing your editing for you?
-
From the initial consultation, through the whole process of photo session / post production / image reveal & ordering session - to delivery of your luxury collection chosen by you - I'm the person you will be working with. I DO NOT OUTSOURCE ANYTHING from my work, other than the albums, wall art and folios printing, which is done by a reliable and confidential printing business I work with.
- Can I meet the photographer prior booking?
-
Absolutely! I love meeting my clients in person before I work with them! The initial consultation/meeting is complimentary and is the perfect (and recommended) way to get to know your photographer, discuss ideas and concepts, view some samples, chat pricing, get answers to any questions you have and to make sure you have all the info before you ready to book your Boudoir & Intimate Portrait Experience.
We can meet over a coffee or for a Zoom-Chat.
